Oxygen Equipment: Getting More out of Your Life
By Anne Clarke

Oxygen: a colorless, tasteless, odorless gas, without which we could not survive, is essential for everyone. But for some people, there is no choice but to have medical assistance and certain oxygen equipment to get enough oxygen into his or her system. When we take a breath, we draw air containing twenty-one percent oxygen into our lungs. It is vital that the oxygen then passes from our lungs into our bloodstream. Oxygen is needed by our organs and tissues to convert the food we eat into heat and energy for the purpose of sustaining life.

If you have ever experienced difficulty breathing, if you have asthma, emphysema, or other have lung problems—or if you have heart problems of any kind, you may have already wondered about using oxygen at home or on outdoor excursions. There is lots of oxygen equipment out there, it all depends on what your doctor suggests might be the very best solution for you.

Ask your doctor! This article cannot diagnose, treat or suggest any specific kind of treatment for you—I can only help you to be conscious of the latest in oxygen equipment available. To suggest that you search for more information that may be vital to your health. By exploring the options available, you will have a better idea about what kinds of things to bring up or inquire about when you speak to your doctor.

There are approximately four million patients or potential patients out there with lung or heart problems who either have, need or are considering supplemental oxygen. But not every American who suffers from lung or heart disease will require oxygen equipment. So find out about it first.

If it turns out that having oxygen equipment is not a concern for you—thank goodness! I am happy for your health. However, you may find through consultation with medical professionals and through some of the information included on the Internet that a portable, home, or emergency method of oxygen delivery may help you significantly—even with simple tasks.

It feels good to notice a change in your health where you didn’t think change was possible. Maybe you feel old or weak—wouldn’t it be a great surprise to find that an oxygen supplement of some sort could make you feel younger, stronger, and more capable? Wouldn’t it be nice to try out a treatment that makes you feel quite noticeably better than you did before?

It is certainly something worth looking into.
